3 days

didnt blog for the past 3 days. sent my laptop for servicing on tue (26 dec) because of a stupid virus. caused me to reinstall all my programs and stuff. arg.. irritating.. but that's not the main issue. got back my exam results for this sem on tue too. although my CAP increased by a little bit, i was very very disappointed with my results. expected at least A- for my materials module but i got a B instead. expected at least B+ for another 2 more modules but again, i got only B. i was so very sad. at this rate, will i be able to reach a CAP of 3.5? i really fear for the worst. if i dont make it to 3.5, i am so dead. sigh.. got to place my faith in God then. only He can make the difference now. i have already tried my best..
servicing the laptop made me late in meeting my dnd comm.. took a cab down from henderson to mariott hotel and the driver was so slow.. arg.. made it just in time before ms song arrived. viewed the ballroom before meeting my cousin to watch night at the museum. it was a very funny show.. funny but not lame. some funny shows are super lame but this is not, so watch it if you have not done so. had a favourite phrase from the movie "Me no dumb dumb, you dumb dumb. I want gum gum". this is said by the moai, a stone statue from easter island. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Island. very cute stone statue. haha. like attila the hun too. his language is funny. totally dont understand what they are talking about, just that they are babbling away. hehe.. many funny scenes in the show regarding the huns. seriously, watch the movie. enough said. =)
then came wed (27 dec). had table 44 gathering again. went to easst coast park but this time, not all were present. pet and zhiling had to select their subject combinations so were unable to make it. khia peng is away in genting, alex, as usual, was never present in any of our gatherings. so in the end, only 6 of us were present. 3 guys, 3 girls. walked along the beach to east coast food centre. hao n i were cheated by a stall selling seafood, saying their fried rice contains big prawns and thus that's why it cost $8. we ordered and when the food arrived, there are no big prawns at all. it looked just like a normal plate of $3 fried rice but yet we paid $8 for it. felt so cheated. i have condemned that stall and will never patronise it again. cheater hawker.. during dinner, we made fun of mingqi, who had earlier complained of her living very far away. ying was laughing so much that she can hardly eat. ying, you are so unpassionate lah.. laugh at other people.. so bad.. haha.. anyway, we walked back to 7-eleven after dinner and bought some drinks and went to the pavilion to chat and play truth or dare. wanted to sit at the breakwater but it was raining so too bad ying. it was a nice time though, chatting and making hao do stupid dare actions.
today, not should i say yest, thur (28 dec) was a rather bad day actually. dropped my phone and there are many chips on my phone! not cracks but chips. heart hurt so much.. my beautiful phone disfigured. sob sob.. nothing eventful happened today except for my phone. met up with kai chiat for dinner though. and met wenxiang at the coffeeshop at bedok when we tried to look for seats. what a coincidence. anyway, we had dinner, went to shop around at ntuc and chatted. he's going to leave for the states on 3 jan for sep. cool isnt it.. came back to hall for E blk pageant videoshoot at 10pm and now, i am back here. dont know whether its my laptop or the nus network but my network connection is continously lost. so irritating. wanted to chat on msn also so troublesome. kept signing in and out. arg..
2 more days to 30 dec. table 44 bbq and drinking session. haha. looking forward to it.. all 9 of us will be present. more forfeit games.. *evil grin* hao, u are dead. haha.. alrite.. gotta go.. nitez.. =)

CCIS

Celebrate Christmas In Singapore (CCIS) is interesting. there are floats, stilt walkers and choir singing christmas carols. i believe this is the 1st time in singapore that christmas is celebrated this way in orchard? dont remember having such a celebration last yr. haha.. its a nice experience. something new at least. its not as crowded as the countdown on christmas eve but its still crowded enough. couldnt get a close up shot of the choir singing. and alas, christmas has come and passed, just in the blink of an eye. gonna be another 364 days before christmas 2007 arrives. had a wonderful christmas this year. looking forward to the next yr. i know its gonna be even better. haha.. merry post christmas and happy new year. =)

christmas countdown 2006

know its 3am and very late but i cant contain my excitement and joy and just have to pen it down. christmas countdown 2006 at orchard was fantastic fantastic and more fantastic. atmosphere this year was better, crowd control and security were also better. the pedestrian passageway outside ngee ann city was converted to a one-way street. police watch towers were set up at different locations with spotlights and video cameras. special ops police were stationed near the traffic lights and the whole area looked like a demilitarised warzone. haha. met up with zhihao for the countdown and we walked up and down the passageways outside the meritus mandarin hotel, taking photos of people playing with the snow spray. wanted to get a can to join in the fun but it was sold out. illegal sales of snow spray and colour ribbons have been banned this year. even saw a police truck with boxes of confiscated snow spray inside. disappointed, we tried cheers at cineleisure and 7-eleven at paragon but still couldnt buy any as they were not on sales at these locations. 12 midnight came and all hell break loose with people spraying snow spray all over the place, creating a snowing effect. we couldnt join in the fun but could only watch and take photos. as we walked along, we met an illegal vendor selling the snow spray and we got 5 cans for $10. haha.. now we are armed and ready to fight a war. we went around, spraying at people. of course we were sprayed at too. when the crowd is getting smaller and people are starting to leave, both of us, together with other people, teamed up with this family who had many cans of snow spray and colour ribbons. we formed 2 rows at each side of the passageway outside the coffeeclub at califonia fitness and declared war and attacked at passerbys. our team got bigger slowly until passerbys later became afraid to walk past us and took a detour to bypass us. haha. that was so very fun. zhihao n i left after the family finished their "ammo" and walked around, looking for more targets. eventually saw this guy who was his group of friends. it was a big group but nonetheless, i still went ahead to declare war on him. result was disasterious of course. all of them, some with 2 cans, attacked me and i turned into a foam-man within seconds. somehow, i refused to give up and followed him along the entire street, from california fitness to outside ngee ann city, crossing the road to paragon side and then crossing the road again to swensons. along this entire journey, i attacked him several times and they attacked me back with a bigger force each time. i exhausted my last salvo of ammo outside swensons and he too, is very low on ammo. we made "peace" there, shook hands and wished each other merry christmas. we even took photos together and shook hands and wished each other another time before departing. it was only after leaving that i realised that it slipped my mind to ask him for his name. could have known another new friend tonight but alas, i didnt. hopefully, by a miracle of God, he will chance upon my blog or friendster and see this photo.

both of us posing for a photo together.

as can seen from the photo, i had much more foam on me than he had on himself.

really had lots and lots and lots of fun tonight. even thought of staying there the whole night but later decided to come back. there will be celebrations at orchard again later in the day. the whole orchard will be closed for the celebrations. haha. so exciting. if you are thinking that i may be going there later, you guessed right. i will be there later. dont you just love christmas? i loved it so very much. and thank God for sending Jesus to earth. He is the reason why we are celebrating and having fun now. He is the reason why i am so happy tonight. without Him, there will be no christmas, there will be no countdowns, there will be no fun. and tomorrow, orchard road is closed to celebrate to remember Jesus. praise the Lord. alright. think i shall retire for the night, though i doubt i can sleep. fun is still flowing through my veins, body and head. once again, merry christmas to everybody and especially my friends. have a blessed christmas and best wishes for 2007. and to my wargame "rival", if you do happen to chance onto this blog by miracle, merry christmas to you for the 3rd time. been nice meeting you and playing together. =)

Jesus is the reason for the season.

xmas service

the service this morning is just so wonderful. couldnt say how great it is. worship started off with my favourite song Lord of all, by Hillsong London. boy, the atmosphere is simply wonderful. songs sung today were fabulous and the presence of God is so strong during the entire praise and worship. the spirit of christmas is magnified by pastor prince's message today and i feel so much more excited by christmas after that. 2 songs were sung when service ended. didnt know the title of the 1st one but it was a very very nice song. the 2nd song was O Holy Night. the musicians are so good and pastor can really sing very well, further strengthening the christmas atmosphere. and after service, at the bus stop going back to hall, i met elaine. havent seen her since sec 4 i think. haha. didnt know she is in new creation too. what a pleasant coincidence. this is going to be a nice christmas. the mood has been set. merry christmas. =)

after thoughts

sigh.. the driver of the accident at kent ridge terminal died in nuh yest, leaving behind 2 daughters aged 8 and 10 years old. such a tragic accident. a single dad raising 2 daughters and now, they are fatherless. and just before christmas somemore. so sad isnt it? life is just so fragile. well, at least the comforting thing to know is that his pain has all ended and is now in heaven with the Lord. and in the other accident involving my bus and the car, the driver is now in a coma in nuh. hopefully she can wake up soon. and hopefully, there will be eye-witnesses helping the police in the investigation of these 2 accidents. hopefully, singaporeans can be less self centered in this christmas season. to those who still dont know what accident is it, this is the link to the news article by channelnewsasia.

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/061224/5/singapore248873.html

and speaking about christmas just came back from petrina's xmas party. was a great party. great food, nice company (petrina, khia peng, mingqi, ying, hao) and lots of stupid fun. been quite some time since i attended a xmas party. had always loved christmas party and wanted to organise one but never had the chance to. going to do so next time. going to invite lots of friends and relatives, order the party platters, ham, turkey and christmas feast from the supermarkets, which have such beautiful and colourful brochures. going to have a large christmas tree with lots of decoration ornaments, play christmas songs and have a big christmas feast every year. will make sure each year's party is better than the previous year's and make christmas 1 of the 2 best times of the year.

Take the joy of Christmas with you everyday.

accident night

feeling so very very sad now. 2 accidents happened within 3omin of each other jus outside my hall. i was even "involved" in one of them. my bus collided with a car and the driver was trapped in his smashed car, bleeding and unconscious. called for the ambulance and the SCDF came only after 10+ minutes. and the ambulance? it came only after almost 20minutes. arent our ambulance and SCDF supposed to be very efficient? why did they take so long to arrive at the scene? and the SCDF took another 15min to get the driver out of the car, while paramedics performed CPR on him after arriving 20minutes later. 15min to saw get him out and 20minutes for the ambulance to arrive. before the main fire engine arrived with the motor, saw and equipment, the SCDF officers seem to be not serious in trying to get the driver out. the way they communicate to each other has no urgency. the rescue only got more serious after the main fire engine arrived. is that supposed to be the standard of a good and efficient civil defence force? was so angry and sad at the same time during the entire rescue session. hopefully the driver is alright. his injuries looked very serious. can only watched helplessly after i called the ambulance and waited for it to come. i am trained in 1st aid and yet there is nothing i can do to help but to call 995. a full 25 min elapsed from the time of the accident to the time he is put onto the ambulance. another ambulance arrived after the 1st ambulance went off, and the paramedic mentioned about another accident "on the other side". he doesnt even know which accident took place and where. what are they actually doing? these precious minutes could determine between life and death. so angry now that i feel like cursing and swearing. and what made my blood really boil is that when the accident happened, as the passengers alighted the bus, they just stood there, point point point, look look look, coment here and there, saying "haiyo", "oh no", take photos of the poor bleeding and unconscious driver, nobody blo**y he** bothered to call for an ambulance. 1 lady even asked me if i was calling the hospital after i hanged up the phone. this is like what the he**.
after the driver is sent to the hospital, i walked back to hall sadly, with a heavy feeling in my heart. and right outside my hall, at kent ridge bus terminal, i finally understood where "the other side" is. this accident is an even more serious one. glass was all over the road, parts of the car flew right across the bus park, the entire right side of the car was smashed in, the roof was partially ripped off and the boot was totally gone. wondered if there are any passengers or how is the driver's condition.
sigh.. this is really such a sad and tragic night. before this i was already feeling down and now the accidents. really hope that the drivers and passengers of the 2 accidents will be alright. can only look out for the news in the papers tomorrow or the day before.

Forgiveness

was kinda tired today. didnt have enough sleep the past few days. then there is the video and photoshoot for the pageants this afternoon. its finally carried out today after trying so desperately and hard for 2 weeks to contact eusoffworks to get the videocam. shooting for B and D blk wnet smoothly. only A, C and E blks are left. ACE.. coincidence? hmm.. hopefully. lots of stuff to do for dnd. formal wear photoshoot. in studio? outside studio? pageant bash and dnd venue? are we still gonna to view mariott hotel? guy-gal games to meet SDU requirements for sponsorship? so many things to settle. i havent even had time to read my book which i had just borrowed. Ghost Force by Patrick Robinson. i am a big fan of his books. read every single of his submarine books. this is his latest book and i think a new one is gonna come out soon. you ppl reading this blog should read his books too. loved admiral morgan in the book. he is so very cool. the way he answered the phone, the way he obliterated his enemies. a real patriot for the country and for the navy indeed. anybody who had the tiniest nerve to even mess with the USA or threaten its safety and survival will receive the full hammering from this "Big Man", as his subordinates and fellow admirals and generals in the white house called him. whoever who dared to try will bear the horrible consequences. wished i could be like him. haha. dream on dom.. dream on..
anyway, went out to meet jiahao and jiahao after video and photoshoot is done and i was late. after jiahao left, jiahao n i went to marina square to bowl. it was good company. reached back hall around 1130pm and was online chatting with table 44 ppl till not long ago when i decided to come here to pen down my thoughts. didnt want to blog today actually but wasnt feeling good so came here to pour it all out.
is it really so difficult to forgive a person if that person has hurt you very deeply once? i knew i had hurt somebody with my actions. not once, not twice, but many times. looking back, i realised how selfish and stupid i was. but i had truly regretted my actions and just wanted to ask for forgiveness. i am not requesting for anything more. guess i will never be able to receive it from the looks of it. had only myself to blame for this. for losing a friend forever. think i cant use the word "friend" anymore i suppose. this will always be a valuable lesson learnt. to think of the possible consequences before you act, for once it is done, it can never be undone again. the damage caused will never be able to be repaired. wished the clock could be turned back so that i could stop those actions. but it couldnt and so i had to live with this i suppose.
ok.. eyes can hardly open. will stop here for now. goodnight.

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you". - Matthew 6.14

Genting Highlands

the genting trip with my bro the last couple of days has been the best one that i have ever had among the many times i have been to genting highlands. we set off on mon night, 17 dec and the 1st good thing of this trip was that we were given a deluxe executive coach with personal lcd screen, video console and fully reclinable seats. 5 stars tours must have run out of standard coaches and thus gave us the deluxe executive coach. haha.. praise the Lord! i was praying that we will have a great and enjoyable trip and there we are, given a "free" upgrade to a better and more luxurious bus.

our deluxe executive bus on the trip to genting highlands. AFN 9866.

reached genting highlands at 4.15am in the morning and proceed to the reception area to get a queue number to check into our hotel. our hotel, resort hotel, was under upgrading renovations and only 3 lifts were working. as a result, traffic flow was heavy and the waiting time was extremely long. was about to be irritated by the lifts when we discovered another lift lobby which not many people know of. and there we are, taking the lifts there to our rooms without having to wrestle and jostle with the crowd who do not know of those lifts.
while waiting for 10.30am to arrive to check in, we went to the coffee terrace cafe to have our breakfast. it's a buffet breakfast and after eating, we just sat there on the comfortable sofa and slept for a short while, before waking up again to continue eating. was a good breakfast, having our fill and catching a short nap to refresh and re-energise ourselves for the day ahead.

orange juice during breakfast. cheers!

i'm full. can you tell? haha.

the rest of the day went on and we went bowling, playing pool, shopping and taking lots and lots of photos. in fact, we took over 800 photos during this trip. the weather this time was extremely fantastic. it was the best weather that i had ever experienced in all my many genting trips. the clouds were thick almost the entire day and night, with the cold wind blowing strongly. winds were so strong that the trees were bent. we had lots of fun standing in the cold wind, seeing who can last longer there, making stupid and funny poses while taking photos.

one of the funny poses we had.

my bro and i

and what is a holiday trip without good food? we had our dinner at the coffee terrace cafe at genting hotel again. its also a buffet and the variey of food is so wide. there are lots of exotic and colourful deserts available, as can be seen from the pic below. there is japanese food, salmon sashimi, chinese food, local delights, nonya delights, western food and indian food. we ate and ate and ate until we couldnt eat anymore. there are even some food which we are unable to try as we are already too full. breakfast the next day was settled at the chinese restaurant "hao you ji", aka, good friends restaurant, in english. we had dim sum and woah, they were yummy, as always.

from top: some of the food on our table, the deserts at the western counter, the chef frying veg, the salmon sashimi.

we are full.

may be just another normal and routine genting trip but this time its different. the company was different. the quality of time spent is different. the laughter we had was different. the past 72 hours was a time which can never be achieved with friends. this had been a really great and enjoyable trip. as usual, there is a sense of reluctance to leave the place. haha. ying may actually be right to say that i like the place so much that i do not want to come back to singapore. haha. much that i do not want to leave, i have to. but i will be back again, like how i know i will always be back again every holiday. genting is my place of relaxation, a place of retreat from the stressful life of singapore.
all the photos taken during this trip can be seen from the link on the left. enjoy. =)

TJC symphonic band concert

just came back from tj band concert Fiesta Groove not long ago. went there with khiapeng, zhiling and ying to support xinyi who is playing at the concert. sad to say, the concert was a rather big disappointment. 1stly, the MCs are really very unprofessional, making crude comments and jokes and laughing at their own jokes, esp the one who is called mariam. was rather irritated by their hostings. next, the coordination and timing of the different instruments was poor and out of timing. you can actually hear the 2 notes being played apart by maybe 1s. not only that, some instruments were even played out of tune and its so very obvious. the overall appearance of the performance were very poor too. the trumpet players at the back were moving a lot, making a very big distraction. 2 of them were even talking to each other for a short while. and because i think they have a shortage of performers, some of them had to move from instrument to instrument, making the whole concert seem very messy. and when the percussion players put down their drumsticks, they did it so unglamly that the sound of the drumsticks hitting the stage could be heard at my postition and i am not even near the stage. even the vocalists from nanyang academy of fine arts were not impressive too. the female vocalist breathed thru the mike while catching a breadth and it was so very loud! the 1st male vocalist had such a dead and sleepy look on his face while singing that we couldnt help but laugh when we saw his face. all in all, the concert was quite a disappointing one but its nobody's fault for it is not even the actual TJC band. confused? let me explain. the performers tonight include guest performers from quite a few sec 4 students from schools such as VS, TKGS, TKSS etc. as a result, the coordination and standard is of course not as good as that of pure tjc students. "authentic" tjc band does not have such poor standards. take the alumni band that performed for example. their 2 pieces were so many times better that those played by the mix of tj students and sec 4 students from the sec sch. this is needless to say isnt it? its tjc band we are talking about. of course the high quality and standard is there. the songs that were played by the students tonight were nice but sadly, kinda spoilt by them. only the pirates of the carribean and the chrismas songs mix were a bit better. but on account that the concert tonight was made up of students from various sch. the poor quality can be forgiven. have faith in TJC and worry not. =)

TJC symphonic band

tried to capture the whole stage on camera but not successful

close up view of the front

the best moment prob came at the end of the concert when the college anthem was played, giving me such a strong nostalgic feeling. stood at attention there, listening to the anthem again after such a long time, and the pride of being once a TJcian came back again. tj cheers followed after the college anthem, with the popular "we are the best, so you better not mess, so you better not fool cause we are cool" cheer as well as other cheers. was brought back to the days when i was still a TJcian days tonight. a pity none of my classmates or teachers were present i think. but is ok. once a TJcian, always a TJcian. i will be back for more TJ events, and always will be. TJC rocks. For college For nation. =)

Faith ends where worry begins, and worry ends where faith begins.

great weekend ahead

was too tired yest after coing mback from the meet up with wenxiang and esther so didnt had an entry. i actually dozed off halfway while trying to make changes to this blog. woke up again at 4.05am and logged off msn and blogspot before going back to sleep. though its already the holidays, i had hardly sufficient sleep this past 2 weeks. been sleeping way past midnight at around 3 or 4 am and waking up at 9am. feeling more refreshed and recharged now after yest's sleep. think it is the best one i had this past 2 weeks.
anyway, the meet up with esther and wenxiang yest was great. zhihao couldnt make it as his sis is coming back from taiwan. xiaowei couldnt make it bout 4 hrs before the meeting time, saying she had something to attend to last min. nonetheless, the 3 of us still had a good time.
met up with few of the table 44 girls for a while meeting meeting wenxiang and esther. gosh. was at kino when i saw this car magazine featuring the new Lexus LS 460 luxury sedan. the car is way too cool. it was launched to compete against the mercedes new S class and the BMW 7 series. this baby has a cool acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 5.7s. its so much faster than that of the S class and 7 series. and the interior just rocks. the console, the wheel, the seats, the exterior appearance, practically everything about the car rocks. and it cost a whopping $396,000. haha. i have a new dream car. the Lexus LS 460! haha..

the Lexus LS 460!! super cool car with bi-xenon headlights!!

steering wheel and floodlit, not backlit dashboard!

the central console with the FM radio, CD player. cool isnt it?

passenger seats with long leg space and telephone in the middle seat. all in the name of luxury..

ok. back to the point. enough excitement about the wonderful car. we waited for esther to finish highlighting her hair before we had dinner at Vila'ge at heeren. its the same as marche except that there is a change in management. went to shop around a bit after dinner before esther had to leave to meet her soon-to-be father-in-law. wenxiang went i continued staying in town, going to borders and then sitting down at orchard mrt, chatting and waiting for her girlfriend until about 11.45pm before we left. was kinda worried that i will miss the last bus but thank God i managed to get the last bus back to hall. hehe.. God is great. =)
and talking about girlfriend, jiawen is attached also already. she sms me yest after she saw my blog. saw her friendster profile quite a few days back. finally, she dont have to "dream" anymore, always talking so excitedly about this guy so handsome, that guy so cute. haha. ms "chikwan" has finally met her man. can still rem in jc times how we used to joke and disturb her about her crush on mr kwan. those were the fun days in jc. hardly kept in contact with the 01/00 ppl anymore except 1 or 2, on a "not so regular" basis. guess everybody is busy with their studies for the guys, work for the girls, and their bf/gf. almost everybody i knew is attached. and i am still single. =(
haha.. and what a timely time to write about this too. was exactly 2 years ago on 16 dec o4 that i broke up with her. and now, 2 yrs later, on 16 dec 06, i can finally talk openly about this without any pain or hurt anymore, after trapping myself in my own world of misery for 1 year. she had moved on very well with her life and i am moving on well with mine too now. hopefully i can find my ms right soon. haha. whole world is getting attached. arg.. not a very nice feeling.. lol.. but oh well.. believe that God has the person in mind for me. can only pray that i will meet her soon. God does big wonders. =)
going to meet up with yijin and tecktien soon to discuss some troop and meeting related stuff for 2007. sigh. mr tchen is going to leave the unit. been a great 2 years working with him and he has been a good and supportive group scout leader (GSL). wonder who will be the new gsl. hopefully, it will be someone who is just as supportive as him.
will be heading down prob to ikea to get xmas presents for petrina's xmas party next sat after the meeting with them, followed by going to xinyi's tj band concert. hope my tj teachers will be there. not that many of them are still in tjc. mr lee will definitely not be there. haha. cant imagine him attending a band concert. that leaves ms faye tan, if she is there tonight. wonder if i will get to meet any teachers i know tonite. guess i will know tonight.
alrighty right then. time to get ready. have a nice day and great weekend people. =)

table 44

had the 2nd table 44 gathering today. went for lunch at seoul garden at tampines mall. we actually stayed there for 5 whole hours, from 1130am to 430pm, until the lunch hours are over. just cant say how on our table 44 is. today wont be the only gathering we will be having. we will be meeting agin on 23 dec for petrina's xmas party, on 24 for xmas countdown, 27 for east coast park day, 30 for bbq at chingyang's condo and 31 for countdown 2007. shiok isnt it? 2 years later for mos, 5 years later for overseas trip and 50 years later for TK 100 anniversary. haha. cool lah. thank God for giving this opportunity to be sitted at such a great table. i love table 44. i love every single one in table 44. you people rocks.. haha.
anyway, talking about today's gathering. almost everybody was present except chinghao who has a test and alex who is working. petrina, zhiling and khia peng came later, when we were in the midst of eating. we had so much fun today, "cooking" the food and playing the number guessing game with lots of disgusting forfeit after we had our fill. that chingyang, boasted initially that he had a clean record and never got any forfeit yet and at the end of the game, become the person with the 2nd highest number of forfeits. and that khia peng.. that crazy girl who claimed herself to be the cutest lady. just my luck to be sitting beside her. conveniently wiped the oil on my shirt when it splashed onto her. then every now and then, let out some noise to startle people. and thats not the worse of all. she actually pinched me to try to make me say ouch when i said i am immune to "pain". gosh. this girl totally doesnt look nor behave like one, or as what she loved to say, a lady. should have seen her in toys r us. totally speechless by her actions. soon after, we left the place and went to the arcade. she practically screamed through every single game that she played. dont know why girls like to scream so much, esp this khia peng. haha. and while we were having all these fun after eating, poor ying had to do gift wrapping. she had already missed 4 or is it 3 days of fun on msn. yeap. table 44 is chatting on msn almost everynight. even right now, at this very moment at 2.06am in the morning, all of us are still chatting, with me multi-tasking, chatting and blogging at the same time. guess ying wants to catch up on all that she missed when she was in camp.
day ended at around 6pm when most of them went back. went to ntuc to buy some stuff an then going back to "disturb" ying at her gift wrapping counter before going to san bookshop to look at some bibles. gosh. there is a black pocket NKJV bible that is very nice. ahh.. i want that bible as my xmas gift. haha. ok.. back to reality.
think i shall stop here. ying has been bugging me for her testimonial. will write more on table 44 gatherings in future entries. table 44 jus rocks big time. haha. looking forward to the next gathering. 3 cheers for table 44. hip hip hooray! hip hip hooray! HIP HIP HOORAY! haha. nitez. =)

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exhalted in that day. - Isaiah 2:11 NKJV

tranquility at changi airport

spent the entire afternoon today at the airport, from 1.30pm to 5pm. could have spent the entire day and night there too if i wanted. loved the tranquility, the peacefulness, the ambience and everthing there. being there is so much more soothing than being in town, which i am getting kinda sick of, after being there almost every single day since exams ended last mon. used to go to the airport every sun morning when i was still in sec sch to watch the planes take off and land. the viewing malls then were much bigger and with better views of the runways. that at T1 still remains pretty much the same although it is now partly obstructed by the newly added observers lounge in the transit area. however that at T2 is totally different. not only is it shorter now, there is a whole new extension of the transit lounge below, which caused the viewing mall itself to be further away from the runway. views of the planes taking off and landing is totally blocked, not obstructed in the newly renovated T2. what can be seen now is just the planes parked at their berths. and the only planes that can be seen are those of SIA. from the new postition of the viewing mall, the boeing 747 looked so much smaller than they used to seem to be. anyway, T2 is now no longer a good place to view the planes so i stayed at T1 most of the time. sat at the viewing mall at T1, watching the planes land for 1.5 hours. a very simple way to pass time and to feel happy and relaxed. just loved the feeling, the thought of how nice it would be if i could be the one taking off and landing those wonderful machines. dont know if my wish of being a pilot can come true. the pilots are so cool. wearing their uniform and their tie and cap and their pilot security cum identity passes, they are just so awesome looking, so much so that they seem to have an aura around them. i simply just loved the planes and flying them. think they are the best invention in the whole world. something so huge and heavy and yet able to travel so fast and to fly in the air.
anyway, the airport is now decorated for the christmas season too, needless to say. the christmas tress there are very beautiful too. some are planted into the soil itself. cool isnt it? haha.. gosh.. how i wish i can be at the airport every single day. its such a wonderful, beautiful, tranquil and nerve-soothing place to be in. i can do that now since its holidays but once sch starts again, i cant do so anymore. after i grad, i am going to look for a job in the airport. a career with either SIA or CAAS. that will be the best job for me. then i can be at the airport everyday. best still, if my dream of being a pilot can be fulfilled, i can be at the airport regularly, travel around the world and of course, fly those wonderful planes. being at the airport really takes away all my stress. other than being in town among the crowd at night, looking up at the stars and enjoying the night, being at the airport, seeing the planes, is the other way that i can forget my stress and problems. while the former is related to having a crowd, the latter on the other hand is achieved by spending time in solitude. and looking at the beautifully decorated transit area, how i wish i can be in there at that moment in time, waiting to travel on a plane to another place for holiday. singpaore changi airport really lives up to its name of being one of the best airports in the world. the lightings, the deco, the surroundings and ambience is just so comforting and soothing. been quite some time since i last entered into changi airport's transit area. wanted to do so this dec but in the end, unable to because of a few reasons. really hope i can do so in the june holi next year. have so many places that i wanted to visit. top of the list, New Zealand. but that will be rather expensive. hope i can afford it by june and of course, tat i have friends to go there with and that they can afford it also. really really wanted to enter and shop in the transit area and of course take photos there. u may think that i am lame and have nothing better to do to actually take photos in and of the transit lounge. but well, i dont care because i think i have found a new hobby. PHOTOGRAHY! haha. will talk bout this possibly new found hobby next time. hee.. well. no choice. have to make do and endure this holi that i am unable to travel by plane again. but i will be back to the airport again soon, this time with my camera, to take photos of the xmas tress there. they are really beautiful. and guess what! i have the staff canteen in T2. haha.. the food there looks really good. found the stall Rex Satay i think, that is featured in the show "hawker food lost and found" (something like that. not too sure of title) hosted by gurmit singh and michelle chia. it really looks good, like what is shown on tv. haha. the next time i go to the airport, i am going to give that a try. changi airport is really such a nice place to be at. though i like shopping in town, i tink being here at the airport sure beats being in town. i am getting sick of town but i can be at the airport everyday and i wont feel sick of it. changi airport rocks. I love Changi Airport.
alright. this entry is getting long. shall end very soon. tomorrow meeting up with table 44 for lunch at seoul garden. haha.. our table rocks.. gonna be a line up of gatherings for our table in dec. woo hoo.. ok.. will end here now.. its already 1.45am and the weather is so nice and shiok for sleeping. rained heavily just now and its so cooling now. hehe. gonna be a pig now. goodnight and sweet dreams. God bless.

God will definitely make a way for me. NEW START

ok. this is a whole new start for me in this blog. finally making the address public.. making it visible to the public. its a new creation for me, a brand new me, a whole new dominic, since 2006. 2005 is over. 2004 is history. no way am i going to look back anymore. had wasted 1 yr of my life and now i am going to make up for it. my new principles of life: Make each day count. dont come to the end of the day and regret over the day. as long as you can look back at the day before going to bed and smile instead of a sense of regret, its a day well spent, a day well-lived. that is what i am going to do and will do. =)

Our response to suffering can either make us or break us.
