been 2 wks.. 2 wks ago, 336 hrs ago, at this time now, we're at chin swee temple. cooling, nice scenery, shiok wind. still miss the place. still wish i am there now, relaxing. its ok.. dec will come soon. will be back there again in bout 4 months time.. =)

woke up with a tingling feeling at 93oam today. woke up much earlier in the morning at 615am, time that i met dear in the cab exactly 1 wk ago. time pass so very quickly. at this time now 1 wk ago, we were on the coach on the way to genting after leaving yong peng at 930am. i should be watching DOA on the coach now, which is about to end. somehow, this 1 wk seems to pass much much faster than all the other 1 wk previously. its not so much of genting and the place that i miss. i go there every 6 months. its the trip there with dear that i miss so much. shopping around first world plaza, looking around in the casino, watching movies, eating yummy food, bowling, playing games at the indoor theme park, sight seeing and riding the rides at the outdoor theme park. how i wish last week can just repeat itself again and again and never end. sigh. i will be back there with dear again. just like how i said i will be back there again everytime i left genting.

it has been the most wonderful 88 hours spent with dear last week. patiently counting down to the day since 1.5 months ago, the day finally arrived, and in a blink of an eye, gone.
monday 14 july
time seems to be passing by slowing exactly 1 wk ago on monday. went to police hq to submit my documents in the morning, before heading down to pasir ris to meet dear for lunch at whitesands where we had kfc. headed down for tuition after lunch, while waiting for the day to pass all the time. tutition ended at 10pm and decided to have macs for dinner. so there i am, buying macs, getting the olympics collectible glass and that marked the end of monday. 1 day down and 1 more day to our long awaited for trip.
tuesday 15 july
dear had a telecommunications course at midlink plaza. met her and her colleagues during lunch. same thing again, after lunch, i started heading down for tuition after shopping around. halfway through her course, got an sms from her saying that her contact lens broke in her eye and is stuck. got a shock and good thing she managed to get it out. so there she goes, continuing her course while for me, time will pass even much slower today. 2 locations, with the last one being a whole 3 hours. was totally brain-dead after class ended at 10pm. cant wait to go home and wait for morning to arrive. though the day can be considered to have ended, morning still seems so far away. cooked noodles for dinner, watching national geographic channel and discovery channel while eating. was supposed to slp early but i couldnt slp. ended up watching air crash investigations on national geographic channel till 2am before heading to bed. then again, couldnt have a proper slp. kept waking up halfway throughout my 3hrs slp.
wednesday 16 july
the day has finally arrived. couldnt slp the whole night and woke up at 5am where i turned and tossed around till 530am. getting out, called dear and before washing up. finished preparing at 6am, waiting for dear to call. call arrived at 6.10am and met her at 6.15am, the start of our 88 hours together. cab ride to golden mile was fast, arriving at 6.25am. checked in, waited for coach to arrive. left golden mile slightly before 7am. journey to genting was fast and comfortable. coach was a 18-seater first class coach, with personal entertainment system and we reached genting at 1pm, 2 hrs faster than usual. went straight ahead to purchase movie tickets first before checking in to our hotel. haha.. kiasu-ism being displayed. checked in to our room, 13346, after getting the tickets, and we went shopping around and taking a look around the casino. halfway inside the casino, dear discovered that her watch was missing. i thought that she dropped it but she said she did not wear it when we came out of the hotel room. went back to the room to see if it was there and luckily, it was there. continued to shop around after that before taking the genting skyway cable car down to gohtong jaya where we had dinner. dinner was great. had black pepper prawns, claypot tofu and live steamed "soon hock" fish. both of us had never eaten so much fish in a single meal before. a whole 1.1 kg of fish, finished up just by the 2 of us. after dinner, we went back up again by cable car, and went to have baskin robbins ice cream near our hotel. weather got very very cold and misty, and because of the ice cream, i was shivering and my teeth was chattering very loud. went back to the room and hid under the blanket for a while. went back out again after feeling warmer. shopped around first world plaza and took the venice gondola before going for our 1st movie. hancock. show was nice.. will not talk about it here. went to the casino to take a look around after the show before going back to our room. with that, the 1st day has ended.

thursday 17 july
wanted to wake up at 6.30am to have breakfast but ended up waking up at about 7.30am instead. washing up quickly, we went for breakfast soon after. went to good friends restaurant, aka, hao you ji, in chinese, for dim sum breakfast. the dim sum was excellent. had a full and yummy breakfast. so full that we had a bit of difficulty walking. after breakfast, we went to the cinema to buy tickets for the dark knight. kiasu again. show was at 10.15pm but we bought the tickets at 9.30am, a whole 12 hrs before. haha.. oh well.. who cares right.. after getting the tix, we took the shuttle bus ride down to chin swee temple. view and scenery was beautiful there. hanged out there for an hour, before taking the shuttle bus back up theme park where we took the antique car which dear drove. took the bumper boat, similar to the bumper car, except that its a boat instead of a car. dear and i got wet in the bumper boat ride and we had to wash up after that.. but it was fun though. our last ride was the train, which was soooooo very very slow. the ride around the whole theme park on that train lasted about 15 minutes. with the end of that train ride, we went back to the hotel to wash up before going for dinner at hao you ji restaurant again. dinner was ok but not up to expectations for dear. both of us had homemade water chestnut cum sugarcane drink which actually was quite nice. went to play arcade for a short while before we went for our movie. played RM20 of games. played the mario racing game and the basketball game, then went back to the room to get our popcorn before going for the show. the dark knight was excellent. will not talk bout it here. after the show, we headed straight to the casino. played jackpot for a while but luck was not on our side tonight. lost RM30 on jackpot. tired also, we went back to our room to slp. witagain at 11.15am. went to the outdoor theme park where we wanted to take the flying coaster. it was still closed so we decided to go to the outdoor theme park first instead. our 1st stop, the go kart. we queued for almost 45min before it was our turn to drive the kart. 45mins queue for a 5min drive. but it was fun so it was worth the wait. next stop was the super tobbogan.. dear went 1st, i behind her. again, the queue was long, but not as long as the go kart. ride was over in a minute. our 3rd ride was the carousel. dear and i each sat on a horse. a bit too old but who cares what others think as long we enjoyed ourselves. next ride was the spinner. dear was afraid in the beginning but soon got used to it during the ride. it was very exciting and fun, screaming and whoo-ing while being spun around. we got off feeling a bit dizzy after the ride has ended but it was fun. took the "cyclone" roller coaster next. no 360 degree turns, just a mild roller coaster. it was my 1st roller coaster ride and i took it with dear beside me. =) when the cyclone coaster ride ended, we went boating together. boating at the top of the mountain with dear. the flying coaster was the next ride after we finished boating. that is the best ride in the entire theme park. the most fun and exciting ride of all. dear and i were just screaming, laughing and whoo-ing throughout the 2 minutes or so ride. with the end of the flying coaster ride, all the exciting rides have ended. the rides we took after that were all family rides. went to the dinoland, took the pirate train, which was a total waste of time because it was sooooo dark that we cant see anything. went for the mad space lab ride too. wanted to take the rolling thunder mine train ride but it was closed due to heavy mist. went for the antique car but the queue was too long, so we went to first world plaza for bowling. prob too tired, so both of us didnt bowl well. dear and i each played 2 games, before heading back to theh that, our 2nd and last night in genting has ended.

friday 18 july
woke up at about 7.30am again and washed up, before going for breakfast at the good friends express restaurant. dear had char siew wanton noodles with orange juice while i had char siew sui jiao noodles with mango juice. paid only RM1.20 for breakfast because i had "traded" my worldcard points for the noodles. right after breakfast, we went to the arcade again. this time, we bought RM30 of credits. as we went to play the basketball game, we found out that the machine we went to had 17 credits left in it. some kind souls had accidentally deducted the credits but left without paying. so there we are, playing 5 free games of basketball. i "cheated", crawling onto the platform and simply dropped the ball into the basket instead of throwing it in. only dear threw the ball in, playing the proper way. we won a total of 664 tickets. changed a mug, a pair of bookmarks, a namecard holder and a whistle. told dear that we are lucky today. went to the casino, put in RM20 into a jackpot machine. played 9 lines at 3 credits per line. the very 1st button dear pressed, we won a special dove feature. we just sat there, watching the machine roll and increase our winnings. won a total of RM110 with that very 1st press. took the winnings and left, making a net profit of RM40 overall. leaving the casino, we went to first world plaza to check out the pizza hut outlet at about 11am. walked by the downslope roadside path since it was very cold and misty. was so cold that my hands were freezing. was told it will take about 20 minutes so we went back to the room with our winnings and prizes in the arcade. packed up and checked out and reluctantly headed to pizza hut for our lunch. mist was so thick that the seats and tables were all wet from the condensation of the mist. took a value meal for 2 person and waited almost 40 minutes for our pizza because the staff had forgotten where they placed our orders. if i had not pestered the manager angrily, our pizza may not even arrive. what great service. finished our pizza and went for our baskin robbins ice cream again, this time at first world plaza where we had 2 3-scoops sundae. baskin robbins really rocks. ice cream was shiok. haha.. finishing our ice cream, we went to the lobby of first world plaza where we took a cab down to berjaya times square for RM85. left genting at about 2.25pm and arrived at berjaya times square at around 3.35pm. checked in quickly to our room, A2008 and went shopping at the shopping centre in berjaya times square itself. the room was huge and very comfortable. the shopping mall was huuuuuuuuuge, with a total of 10 levels and 2 basements. the shops were high class, with branded brands like chanel. pretty much like malls in singapore, there is cold storage, best, cinema, and all kind of fashion shops. bought tickets for the show journey to the centre of the earth, starring brendan fraser. however, shops were repeated from level 3 onwards and we got bored and tired of shopping there. there is even a theme park in the mall, claimed to be the largest indoor theme park in malaysia. roller coaster was long and scary. at 7.30pm, dear and i decided that we had enough of shopping and we had for dinner at a restaurant called uncle duck. had steamboat there. dear had the seafood set while i had the grouper fish set. the food was good and yummy. we even had dessert. dear had mango sago with grapefruit while i had mango sago. wanted to go opposite to shop for a while but we were tired and so went back to the room for a rest. i dozed of and dear had a hard time waking me up. haha. show was at 12.15am and ended at 2am. went straight back to the room after the show ended and we knocked out once we hit the bed.
saturday 19 july
wanted to wake up at 630am for breakfast. again, we couldnt wake up in time. woke up at 730am and after washing up, went for breakfast at the big apple restaurant for our buffet breakfast. breakfast was ok. the waiter was very friendly and it was a good meal. took the monorail at imbi station and alighted at bukit nanas. walked to the lrt at dang wangi and took it to the station at klcc. dear applied for the tourist priviledge card upon reaching there and we asked for directions to the skybridge visit. by the time we reached the ticketing counter for the skybridge visit at 935am, the tickets have all run out. a bit disappointed, we went shopping at klcc shopping centre. this time round, the mall was much nicer than berjaya times square. there was vincci, branded brands again, non branded brands like crumpler and even A&W. dear had wanted to buy a crumpler bag but there are no other colours left except red. disappointed, we left and continued shopping till 11.25am where we went to A&W. ordered a large root beer float with 2 scoops of ice cream and a double scoop ice cream waffle. was a real yummy meal. there is no more A&W in spore and both of us missed it so much. finally got a chance to eat it again. yummy. after eating, we took a cab back to our hotel. cab fares are really cheap in kl. the entire journey back only cost us RM4.10, cheaper than all the monorail and lrt rides which we took. reached our hotel at 12.03pm and our cardkey has already been deactivated. having no choice, we had to go to the reception to reactivate our cardkey. key activated, we went back to pack and checked out at 1235pm. got our deposit of RM100 back, deposited our luggage at the bell counter and went to level 3 to purchase our couple polo shirt. done, we went opposite to shop for about 30 minutes or so. went back to the mall at 1.55pm and had lunch at a cafe called gasoline. food was not bad. waiting time was relatively short. finished our lunch at 2.25pm, went to cold storage to buy a bottle of chewing gum, before heading back to the hotel lobby to collect our luggage and check in at the coach counter. coach was already here so we boarded immediately and reluctantly began our journey back to singapore. coach was not as comfortable as it should have been. dear got a little giddy. good thing she felt better after the toilet break midway through the journey. journey was fast, and we reached tuas checkpoint at 8pm. reached golden mile at 8.40pm, where we went to lodge a complain for the lousy coach. took a cab home after that, where i unpacked and went for dinner at the hawker centre with dear. had wanton noodles for dinner and sent dear home after that. at 10.15pm, dear reached home, and i bid goodbye to her, 88 hours after i met her on wednesday morning.
till now, i am still missing the trip. my dream of going to genting with the girl i love has finally been realised, after 5 or so years. was really a wonderful wonderful and beautiful trip with dear. felt so sad and reluctant to end the trip but all good things have to come to an end. what will not end is my feelings for dear, the memories we shared in this 88 hours and that this will not be our only trip. looking forward to the next trip with her. love you dear.. =)

time flies.. been a wk since we had live firing during ict. at this time last wk, we had just finished range and are on the way back to camp. and now here i am writing this entry. this time now next wk, i will be be nice cooling genting. yeap. i'm going back there again. my 1st trip there this year. alrite. i'm off to bed. nitez...

came back from 3rd ict yest. was a great and fun 5 days. meet up with all my specs again. chenghao n edwin are back as ps and pc respectively. haha. and best things is we have 3 pc. lta larry, lta quek and lta edwin tat totally rocks man.. enjoyed myself in ict.. missed the high key last year so have to make it up 1 way or another. next ict will be another low key ict, preparing for ATEC. looking forward to next ict.. sound crazy and insane but i really did enjoy ict. meeting up with old friends, gg out and do shitty things, chiong sua, getting dirty and tired, being the ps runner, as always. but still, really enjoyed everything. this ict was quite relaxed anyway. main thing for this ict was range. no drawing out of vehicles and ovm, signals and optics and that sure makes life way much easier. my specs and i got marksman, so tats an additional $200 for each of us while i got gold for ippt and tats $400. good money isnt it? sept will most prob meet up again for mobilisation. tat wont be as fun as ict though but its another chance for all to meet up again.. go mortar platoon.. =)
