ok. my excitment about getting a car next year has not died down yet. i really want to own my very own car next year. and those who know me, when i want to buy something, i want to go for quality stuff. the same applies for getting a car. i do not want to get any "cheap" car that has no quality. and i have a dream car which i want to and wish for very very much and its the Toyota Mark X. its a really very very cool car. with a max horsepower of 212HP at 6400 rpm and a max torque of 260Nm at 3800rpm for the 2.5litre version. with a compression ratio of 12.0, its one of the highest which i have seen. armed with a DOHC V6 24 valves VVT-i engine, the Mark X has a better engine than the camry. anyway, for those who do not know the terms, DOHC stand for Double OverHead Camshaft, V6 means there are 6 cylinders in the engine, with 24 valves and VVT-i stands for Variable Valve Timing-intelligence, meaning to say, the valve changes according with the engine to open or close the inlets to maximise performance and feul efficiency. i shall not go into further technical details of DOHC, V6 and 24 valves but to sum it all up, the Mark X is a darn cool car with a powerful engine. with HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights, it is unlike normal sedans whose headlights are normal "yellow lights. i hated those lights and loved the HID white light. its so much brighter! the Mark X also comes in 4WD version. imagine that. 4WD in an "executive sedan" car. how cool can that be? and as expected, a car like this doesnt come cheap. being a parallel import car, prices range between $80000 and $90000. alright. so much of the talking. time to show some pictures. enjoy the cool photos. hopefully, i will be able to own 1 next year. my christmas gift for myself in 2008? i seriously hope so.
