just finished watching the korean show "Windstruck". this is the 4th or 5th time that i had watched it, 3 or 4 times on vcd, and once in the cinema and the show still brought me close to tears. its really such a touching and sad story. the choice of music and words used are so impactful. the female lead actress is a policewoman while the male lead actor is a physics teacher. in the most unexpected way, they ended up together as a couple, and got seperated in the most tragic way. life and death. the male actor was shot while the actress was pursuing a criminal. devastated upon his death, she tried to join him by killing herself but failed everytime. and according to the story of the prince and the princess and the "origin" of crossing the last finger, aka, the pinkie, the prince had to go to war but promised the princess to come back alive. 10 years passed but he did not return. as a result, she was made to remarry and said she will marry the person who crossed his pinkie with her. all the princes didnt and 1 day, a beggar came and crossed pinkie with her. the beggar was her lost prince. but little did she know, the prince was actually killed on his way home and to fulfill his promise, he came back as a ghost. that very day he came back is the 49th day after his death and also the day the soul will leave the princess forever. he left and she managed to find his body. taking poison to kill herself, she laid beside the dead prince, crossing pinkie with him as she died. failing to kill herself, the actress was determined to join the dead actor before the 49th day after his death. puting her life at the frontline while catching criminal in the hope that she will be killed while on duty, she failed to get herself killed. on the 49th day, he really returned as the wind and a ghost to see her for the last time before leaving. he said many phrases which were so beautiful and so touching. "When i die, i want to become the wind", "If you feel the wind when i am not around, its me". he has said this to the actress and when he died, she felt the wind and cried so badly, calling out his name at the same time, asking if its just the wind or that its him and he had really became the wind. that scene is so tear-jerking and i had to fight back mine. and the most beautiful phrase that he said, was just before he left her forever. "Now let me leave with your love in my heart". this is just so very very touching. the scene and the song "knock knock knocking on heaven's door", the both of them crying so sadly, made the whole movie so tragic. esp the scene showing her crying while seeing all the things that he had done for her but yet not around anymore is so heart wrenching. i cant describe the feelings and just how touching and sad thoses scenes are through words. watch the show and you will know. i watched it a few times already and each time i watch it again, it still almost brought me to tears. thats how heart wrenching the show is. such is the tragic of life. to love someone truly and yet to be unable to be with her. haiz.. alrite. shall not elaborate more. will end here for now..
